♡ General Gameplay
In this semi-realistic HARPG group, players can buy/sell, breed, bond with, draw, and write about their Teddy Cobs. While we offer some frameworks to help guide your gameplay - prompts, bonding, etc - the group is ultimately intended to be a sandbox for its users. What you do with your Teddy Cobs is up to you, whether you choose to focus on the functions offered by the site or use your Teddies on other platforms like Deviantart, Toyhouse, etc. This Lorekeeper site serves as a registry and hub for the breed/game, but the world is your oyster!
A few important notes about the group:
- Our Terms of Service page serves as our official rulebook. Please give it a read!
- Teddy Cobs cannot be freely created - they must be purchased/bred officially through the group. While we certainly do not claim to have invented fluffy little cobs, the breed is tied to the group. Please don't claim other OCs as Teddy Cobs.
- In the interest in semi-realism (and avoiding the headache of design checking), all Teddy Cobs are designed by staff and official designers. Please do not pressure the team to design your Teddies a certain way, allow you to design them yourself, etc.
- You may style your Teddy Cobs' hair and feathering however you'd like! The lineart variations are cosmetic only (with the exception of the Teddy-Eared gene), and while they can be passed down, they are not limits/expectations for how you draw your pony.
- All art and literature submitted to the gallery is auto-accepted, and anything from sketches, to fully rendered pieces, to longform stories are perfectly acceptable. For further details on art/lit guidelines, click here.
- This is intended to be a casual group that is relatively 'hands-off' for the staff. We encourage you to take your ponies to groups like HARPG, training programs like Equibreak, community shows and events, etc. This site really just serves as a registry/masterlist!
♡ Acquiring a Teddy Cob
The Market:
One of the primary ways to obtain a Teddy Cob is to buy or tame from the group itself ("The Market" in our Discord). Imports (ponies without in-game lineage) are periodically designed and distributed by the group via:
- RNG Claiming (art/lit)
- Group Sales (USD/points/etc)
- Adoption Center (free for newbies)
- ...and occasional other methods (Raffles, Events, etc)
These horses come predesigned, along with heights and names (the latter can be changed freely by their future owners - they're just included upfront to give them some character!). They are randomized using the same chances as the !pony command, which you can roll (just for fun) in the #bot-spam channel. To obtain any of the ponies from the group itself, you'll need to be a member of our Discord server, as all group market functions are conducted there.
The Trading Post:
In addition to official group imports, players are also welcome to buy/sell horses, slots, breedpics, and more. Our dedicated member advertisements section in the Discord, called "The Trading Post." This section holds three channels: #general-ads (for general buying, selling, and trading), #lf-breedpics (for those seeking breedpics), and #comms-and-yhhs (for people to post listings for their own art/lit offerings).
We do not place any restrictions on currency/pricing of horses or slots - you are welcome to price things however you see fit, whether it be for USD, points, other sim currencies, art trades, etc. This is completely up to you!

♡ Character profiles
Teddy Cobs do not have a "Registration" system. Once designed, they can be freely named, and you are also welcome to customize their profile. Both of these things can be done via Edit Profile in the sidebar. You can include further details about your pony in this section, from short blurbs about their personality to full profiles that include images, handler details, etc. The Edit Profile page also has options for commenting, gift art, and gift writing, as well as an "Up For Offers" tag, that you are welcome to set as desired. These selections will be listed at the bottom of the horse's profile on its main page.
Names must be appropriate (PG-13) and may be show/registered names or just nicknames. If it's a longer name, you can also fill out the Nickname field to display in the top left corner of the profile.
♡ Bonding System
On each horse's profile page, you'll notice a Bond meter. Bonding can be increased by the owner of the horse by clicking the heart beside it once per day. In return, the horse may gain anywhere from 1% to 10% Bond with its owner! If a horse is sold/transferred, its Bond will reset to 0% for the new owner. Bond is used to unlock Breeding (see below), but besides this, it's really just for fun! In the future, other features may be added that relate to Bonding, but for now we're mostly just supporting the desire to click buttons. Yay :)
