♡ RNG Claiming System
Imports will be periodically offered for RNG Claiming through the #group-claimables Discord channel. Each horse is posted with its own level of difficulty, which may vary depending on rarity, gender, etc. You'll need to draw or write about the horse in question in order to roll to claim them!
Story-wise, you / your character are meeting the herd of semi-wild Teddies available for claiming. In order to be eligible to buy the horse you want, you must successfully braid a colorful ribbon adorned with jinglebells into its mane, strong enough to hold until the ponies are driven down to the stables for the winter in a week. How exactly you choose to go about this is up to you... (We're not super picky - you're welcome to frame it as a sale or other arrangement instead if you so choose!)
General Guidelines:
- At minimum, each claim attempt must be a colored headshot or 400-word story.
- Only a single art depiction may count toward chances (e.g. only one headshot, not multiple).
- You may combine art and literature for a total of up to 25 "Current Attempt" points.
- Chances are ultimately capped at 60% regardless of bonuses to prevent automatic claims!
FAQ:
- Am I allowed to draw multiple Teddies in my entry? Yes, but the submission can only count as a claim attempt for one pony, and extras don't count toward chances.
- Can I try multiple times for one pony? You may submit one attempt per pony per day. As soon as that timer is up, you can submit another, even if the previous one hasn't been rolled yet.
- Can I try multiple times in one day? You may submit up to three attempts every 24 hours (this is a rolling window based on when you last submitted). Entries should not be posted to the gallery unless you are submitting them that day; do not attempt to circumvent the daily limit by uploading placeholders or other exploits.
- Do I have to draw their hairstyle a certain way? Claim attempts should reflect the mane/tail/feather/wooly styling of the pony's design! In other scenarios you may style them however you'd like, but for claiming specifically, please follow the design styling.
As with our other systems, we expect effort and care to be taken in claiming entries. Please play in good faith and don't create sloppy/rushed entries! We reserve the right to decline claiming attempts if they are obviously unfinished or poor quality compared to the creator's usual work.
♡ Point Values
As mentioned briefly above, claim attempts are assigned a certain number of points representing their chances. This number increases as you put in additional effort, try multiple times, or utilize other bonuses, making it more likely that you'll successfully bring the pony home. For ease of processing, the point values are split into three categories: Current Attempt, Previous Attempts, and Bonuses. These are listed out in breakdown form when you submit your attempt in the channel, for example:

Current Attempt
The entry you are submitting on that particular day, be it your first or your fifth. Count up all applicable categories from the table below.
You may combine art and literature for a total of up to 25 "Current Attempt" points. Anything beyond that (e.g. a 3000 word story) isn't counted.

Previous Attempts
For all previous attempts you've made for that pony, take their attempt values (from their "Current Attempt" category) and add them here. This allows consecutive entries to stack up as you try again!
Bonuses
There are a few situational bonuses that can also be added to your chances. If these apply, go ahead and add them; otherwise leave this section blank.

♡ Rolling Process
You may submit one entry per pony per day based on when the pony was posted. After each 24h cycle, all entries from that day are randomized to determine what order to roll in. This helps even out the timezones and prevent rushed entries, as there is no advantage to getting an entry done early in the day versus later. If your entry has been submitted and someone in front of you successfully claims the horse, your entry will still be rolled, but you'll be given a +20 chance boost to use on a future claim if successful. You may attempt to claim as many times as you'd like.
Claims are rolled using a custom Carl-bot command. All this does is roll a number from 1 to the horse's Difficulty. If the random number is at or below your chance number, your claim is successful!
