As the name suggest, Charm is a very sweet and kindly pony. Hes friendly and loving, respectful and espechially adoring of his person, a girl called Miriam. Miriam was the one who once struggled to tie a ribbon to Charms mane- she has grown a bit ever since, but wont ever outgrow her very best friend. Charm repays this with deep adoration, he would go to the ends of the world for Miriam. Even if she takes him strange places, he will be brave with her and remain by her side.
Charm is very calm and level headed, he loves to just be included in anything but doesnt get too hyper. He has the cutest pony trot and comfy gaits. Also, he likes being painted on, while Miriam loves fingerpainting things on his coat. Little stars for example. Charm always wears a bell ribbon in his mane. It is no longer his original one- that has become quite worn and is safely in a box beneath Miriams bed, a very special keepsake. Instead he wears one in partnerlook with her. She uses a stamp to draw little stars and specks on him and much of his tack is star or bell themed. Charm has an immeceble sense of orientation and can alwass be trusted to lead Miriam home safe after their adventures. She loves to take him on rides, but they are only allowed to go so far when alone.
Many years ago, he and a mare named Missy were owned by a poor but very kind vicar. The house old and overgrown, Charm knew nothing but love and care. Missy was his friend and sole herd, they were even taught to be a driving pair and noted to make for an exceptional pait. Both were quite young then, they watched each other grey out until they resembled each other more than ever before.
Unfortunatley, the vicar fell on even harder times and had to part from his beloved horses. Fate saw the two split. Missy ended up being sold from hand to hand, until finally finding a soft landing with a family all the way from america. Charm on the other hand was, by a stroke of sheer luck, shipped back to the original range of his breed where he became a little feral, but not much, and remained kind and loving.
Eventually, the regular adoption process began and he was visited by a little girl and her father. Miriam was small then and not very good at braiding a bell ribbon into a wild mane. But she tried. And when the first time failed, tried again. She grew, but returned to Charm whenevee the opportunity arose, until the ribbon finally held in his mane.
-loves to nap or roll in flower patches. One of his favourite places to be is below blossoming trees. He often has petals stuck in his mane and tail.
