[CA] Yeek, someone a little special

Silwia needed a horse for her stay at Foxmore, it would be lame if she just went to the boarding school without one of her own. Then she would be made to use one of those poor worn down Schoolmasters. She had put hours of research to choose what breed she wanted. Zlesdins were cool, but she doubts she could handle the commitment of a horse that bonds to only one person. She checked out Loshenkas next and decided they were way too high maintenance and that finding completely custom tack would be way out of her budget, though Runcun Roon did catch her eye he again was too tall.

She finally found what she was looking for, cobby little horses. She browsed the Teddy site and upon seeing that they were holding a Adoption Meet she had to go to mama and beg to go.

Upon repeated asks Silwia was allowed to go. The yard was beautiful, foggy and sweet smelling with the mountains in the backdrop. They had managed to get there early enough so they could peruse all of the cobs. Some of them had the little blue ribbons with the bells and a tag to show which were being considered by others.

Silwia spent time with a few of them but when she came across Yeek, the girl was delighted at such a silly name.

Yeek was grazing at the furthest end of the pasture where the older geldings were being held, without a bell. The gelding shifted his weight, stepping forward to pull on some harder grass. Teeth pulling at the fibrous and thick blades.

The girl leaned on the fence, watching the pale-brown-black gelding munch away. She asked one of the workers if she could spend time with him in a small voice before getting into the pasture to just sit nearby.

Yeek was ridiculously tame, only stopping to sniff at the girl's freckled hand when Silwia held it out. The cob let out a slow sigh moving around the girl to attack a patch of clovers that caught his nose's attention.

Silwia huffed out a laugh placing her hands in her lap. Her legs were starting to itch from sitting in the grass but she ignores it in favor for watching a neighboring pony, trot along the fence for the attention of a young man who holds a sucker.

Yeek himself was quite mellow, maybe that's why Silwia sits there much longer than she had the few others she met. She plays with his feathering, poorly braiding his forelock, plays chase.

Her feet thud against the ground as Silwia starts another round laughing as the cob trots after her, puffing through his nostrils and his ears flicked forwards with attention. Silwia lets out a call, "Mama! Mama! Do you still have the bell?" She rammed into the fence laughing, arms dangling over the wooden plats.

The brunette woman sighed, getting up from the picnic bench and shuffling over. "Here," washer plain reply as she held out the blue ribbon. The bell tinking as Silwia took it.

Silwia returned to Yeek who snuffled at the bell before the girl parted his mane and tied it around his neck, "see you tomorrow Yeek. I'm gonna be here for all the days this adoption yard is open. You're coming home with me if I win and manage to get the fee done."

Yeek watched from the corner of his bluing eye as Silwia left the pasture. Shutting his eyes he stretched out his forelegs and leaned back.
