Archipelago #2 - maybe pears? Pears are cool!

Well, the plan had been to not stay here for hours on end until the sky was dark and the clouds had let the stars come flying, but here Mulan was. This darling tiny pony had taken quite simply ages to catch - she was loving chewing on the ribbon, and by the time he got it back, one of the bells had almost fallen off and the ribbon itself was a bit soggy. He grimaced as he pet the pony, well-chewed ribbon in hand, planning where to tie it in. There were a few bells already tied into her mane, their jingling menacing threats of adoption right under Mulan's nose - but hey, if he could put his in, then he would also be in the running for the adoption process.

Adopting a Teddy Cob was always eventfully fun - the process was relatively simple. You would braid a bell ribbon into the semi-feral pony's mane, and when they were travelled to their place for winter (which was super soon, according to the weather) then the bells would be counted and the remaining one would be the winner. In this case, for Mulan to win, his delicate red ribbon that was braided and looped into Archipelago's mane with two bronze bells would have to remain there for the whole time. That's the plan here, but hey, it's all done by chance - each and every entrant has a fair chance as much as the last and the next. Although, sometimes, children insisted they tied their own ribbon, and they tended to be either too tight for the pony to enjoy or too loose for it to stay. Well, Mulan was no longer a child trying to get his first pony like he was once before, so his ribbon was as best as he could do it. Hopefully it would work!
