Catch That Cob!!! Viento Attempt #1
Ezykial, bell in hand, was fully prepared to have a difficult choice in choosing which pony to attempt to give a home to. What he wasn't expecting was to turn up slightly early, and watch a whole lot of chaos unfold.
"Catch that cob!" A child shouted, evidently willing his mother to try and get the wild pony back to put a bell in its mane. The small pony gave no notice other than a flick of his Pom-pom tail and an ear turning back, as if to say 'no thanks'.
That would be a fun pony.
Ezi began to wander in the direction it came from, into the seaside town across from the grasslands the Teddy Cobs currently occupied. His pocket jingled as he walked, the blue ribbon dangling out and twisting in the breeze. The sea wind was sharp, but it was comfortable.
Ezikyal Seymour had been looking for a project pony for a little while now. He wasn't exactly the smallest of riders, but he was relatively lightweight, and his taller mare needed a companion either way. What better than a sleek little pony to take showing with him? And perhaps one to show off to a few of the people at his new boarding stables... but of course, he's not looking to impress only. Whilst it would be a good ice-breaker, if this little cob is as much of a munchkin as he looks, he could get a few looks if something went wrong... but whatever. The whole point of moving is so that the horses can be calm and trained nicely.
Which is what brings him out here, to the wilderness by the sea, a cosy village with sandy beaches and lush grasses alike. Not too far from Ashleaf Lane, but also not exactly the closest in the world. Who knows - maybe if he gets a pony, he can bring them back for a scenic walk another time?
If this particular pony could do anything calm at all, that is.
"No! Absolutely not, what- get out!" An elderly woman gasped, horror painted on her face as she watched a pony cart through her fence, chewing on her flowers. "You cheeky creature! Go on, off with you! Gosh, it's a poor job you're a wild one, huh? I'd be asking for repair money!"
With another gasp and a crack of wood, the cob had leapt out of the garden once more, little legs leaping through the fence - and breaking the top with it.
'I'm sure that kid's mother is very glad it ran off. Wouldn't want to be losing it through all your fences.' Ezikyal thought to himself, before a thought struck him.
Why is he still going after this creature? It was clearly not one to stay in its own space. He'd spend more on vets bills and repairs than he would on the horse itself.
'Well... he has very bright eyes. Clever,' He remarked simply before walking off after him once more.
Not very calm, though.
