Dark blues dimmed the valley as the young gelding stood among the grass, stretching his legs with a stubborn look. He had seen many other horses get taken, and heard the whispers among herds. He did not wonder what two legs had to offer him, turning his nose at their attempts. He had lived wild, free and stubborn despite his other herdmates going kindly. For he had found house-life to be boring, unfitting for such a wild horse like him. As the lanky brunette before him sat calmly on the grass, doodling on a piece of journal paper with his markers and paints, and for the first time, the gelding had realized interest pondered among his brain, clawing him to inspect such a weird act. He wondered just what this cowboy, as other herds had called them, was doing! Perking his ears forward, he took a tentative step near the sitting man, tilting his head like a canine would do when confused, only to pause nervously as the cowboy raised the paper after smirking. He had noticed the gelding before it noticed him, and watched it closely out of the corner of his eye as he drew. “It's you, do you like it?” The two legged asked with a grin, slowly kneeling in front of the gelding as he hung his journal open to the painting he had just finished. The gelding pinned back his ears, but held some interest among his dislike for the changed posture that the man held. He inspected the artist's paper curiously, before leaving with a snort.
